Swaps at existing boxes. Done safe, done same day it starts.

There is a whole category of electrical work that is really hardware work: the yellowed outlet, the switch that crackles, the fan from 1998, the fixture you have hated since you moved in. Where the wiring already exists and works, swapping the device on the end of it is my lane.

What I handle

• Outlets and receptacles swapped like for like, including worn or discolored ones
• Switches and dimmers replaced at existing switch locations
• Ceiling fans, swapped and balanced where a fixture exists
• Light fixtures, flush mounts to chandeliers, at existing boxes
• Smart switches, thermostats, and doorbells, set up on existing wiring
• Porch and garage lights, plus dusk to dawn sensors
• GFCI outlets tested and swapped where one already exists
• Doorbell chimes and buttons on existing low voltage wiring

Where the line is

New circuits, new outlet locations, new boxes where none exist, anything at the electrical panel, and anything that is dead because of the wiring itself is licensed electrician work. I test first, tell you which side of the line your job is on, and refer honestly. I am not a licensed contractor. California law limits my jobs to under $1,000 total for labor and materials, on work that needs no building permit.
