Wood moves in the desert. I put it back where it belongs.

Heat and dry air work on every piece of wood in the house. Cabinet doors sag, drawers quit rolling, doors swell, trim pulls away. None of it needs a general contractor, and all of it changes how the house feels day to day. This is the patient, fiddly work I like.

What I handle

• Cabinet repair, hinges, drawer slides, catches, pulls, and rollout trays
• Cabinet doors realigned so they close flush and quiet
• Doors, planed, rehung, and fitted with working hardware
• Trim and baseboards reattached, patched, or replaced in sections
• Shelving, closet rods, and garage storage mounted into studs
• Furniture assembly, built square, tall pieces anchored
• TV mounting, wood, drywall, plaster, and block walls
• Drywall patches, plus paint touch ups
• Stripped hinge screws and loose handrails made solid again
• Gate and fence woodwork, out in the yard

Where the line is

Structural framing, load bearing changes, room additions, and full cabinet replacement or refacing are licensed contractor work, and good cabinet shops exist for the big jobs. My lane is repair and small installs, under $1,000 with labor and materials together. I am not a licensed contractor. California law limits my jobs to under $1,000 total for labor and materials, on work that needs no building permit.
