Handyman in Palm Springs

Old houses have character. Character needs a handyman.

A lot of Palm Springs housing went up in the fifties and sixties, and those mid century homes are the whole charm of the place. They also come with sixty year old doors that stick, original hardware nobody makes anymore, and walls that do not take a screw the way new drywall does. These are exactly the houses I like working on, and I treat the originals with respect.

Jobs I take in Palm Springs

  • Original doors planed, hinges and locks adjusted or matched
  • Sun rotted window screens and patio door screens rescreened
  • TV mounts on plaster and block walls, anchored right
  • Vacation rental fix lists knocked out between guests
  • Patio string lights hung for desert evenings
  • Toilets, faucets, and disposals swapped in older bathrooms and kitchens

If you run your place as a vacation rental, I handle the small stuff that guests flag: wobbly fans, loose towel bars, screens, sticky locks. Send the list with photos and it gets done in one visit between bookings.

How hiring me works

Photograph the problem, send it through the contact page, and I reply with one flat number, labor and materials together. No hourly meter, no surprise line items. The number I send is the number you pay.

I am not a licensed contractor. California law limits my jobs to under $1,000 total for labor and materials, on work that needs no building permit. Anything bigger, or anything needing a permit, gas, or main panel work, is licensed contractor territory and I will point you to the right pro.

I also cover the rest of the valley: Cathedral City, Desert Hot Springs, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Indio, Coachella. Every page, every city, same deal: small jobs, flat quotes, one visit.
